A Colourful Weekend at Lou’s Craft Retreat in Retford

Crafting, Connection & Creativity with Stampin’ Up!
Last weekend was a breath of fresh (and crafty!) air as I joined a fabulous group of ladies at Lou’s Colourful Crafts Retreat in the beautiful countryside of Retford. It was everything a crafter could dream of—Stampin’ Up! projects, good food, great company, and lots of laughter.

We were surrounded by inspiration from the moment we arrived. Each table was prepped and bursting with gorgeous Stampin’ Up! kits, coordinating papers, embellishments, and colourful elements ready to be transformed into stunning projects.

Inside, we got straight into the crafting. Whether it was cardmaking, decorating treat boxes, or layering up elements for home décor pieces, every moment was hands-on and joyful. Everyone was focused, yet the chatter and encouragement flowed effortlessly.

Of course, no retreat is complete without a few tasty treats. Lou laid on a wonderful spread for us—including savouries, fresh fruit, and some classic crafty-fuel snacks. Every break was another chance to chat, giggle, and connect over a cuppa.

I left feeling recharged and inspired, with a pile of finished projects and a heart full of new memories. I’m already counting down the days to the next retreat in October—because weekends like these are simply good for the soul.
